So my group is amazing. We have the whole spectrum of ages and backgrounds, from Texas to California to Virginia! It’s great, and we have done a lot of laughing, sharing anxiety, and just plain being excited to go. We get on a bus tomorrow morning, get to JFK and take a flight in the early evening to arrive in Kyiv by the afternoon the next day. I am, as I am sure most of us are, ready to get out of here and begin our adventure!

In Philadelphia, not born nor raised
Monday, March 26th, 2007Packing….
Thursday, March 22nd, 2007I’m home in Michigan and it’s been quite a whirlwind, getting everything together and trying to see everyone one last time. I called a few people (Doug in Romania and John in Honduras) to help ease my mind! They are so positive and have been a great resource as I head out into the unknown.
As far as packing goes…well it’s coming. I took everything I am comtemplating bringing along down into the family room and set it in the middle of the floor. Then, much to my grandmother’s dismay, I sat a the chair and ignored it. Finally I starting packing. So far the bags only weigh 40 and 25 lbs, so I have a few more things I can take along…The picture was taken post-mess, so not as exciting, but it’s still fun!
A Work in Progress
Tuesday, March 6th, 2007This is all very exciting to me, I have a website! Although it is far from complete (and will always be a work in progress), I ready to begin documenting my experience in Peace Corps Ukraine, which formally begins on March 25, 2007. This site is for my family and friends to stay close to me while I am away, view photos of my experience, and to share in the adventure! У меня так нервничать и определенно готов к работе!
